- "Disabled and
Proud" was an historic international gathering of artists,
activists and scholars with disabilities. They came to discuss being
proud to be disabled. It was an authentic disability cultural event -
three days of soul searching, laughing and crying together and
celebration that left participants deeply changed.
Join us for some fun, food and laughs as we remember "Disabled and
Proud"" and stretch our minds around such questions as: What
is disability culture? Is it important in the disability rights
movement? What does it say about who we are?
