Q: FROM MENTEE KAYLA IN KY
Is it true that when you are asleep you eat spiders?

A: FROM MODERATOR SARAH SHIRK, CHICAGO, IL
This sounds very unlikely, but I suppose if you slept with your mouth open it could happen. I'm curious where you heard this. Was it a camping story perhaps intended to send chills down your spine? I think the chance of it happening is so slim that I would not worry about it. I was once in a cabin covered with "Daddy long leg" spiders. I ended up sleeping under netting by the second night because they kept waking me up when they would crawl on me. I don't think I ever swallowed one, but if I did, I didn't even know it!
