Can anyone explain what is meant to be an animal's ecological niche?

A: FROM MENTEE JANINA S. IN PA

The ecological niche of an organism depends not only on where it lives but also on what it does. By analogy, it may be said that the habitat is the organism's "address", and the niche is its "profession", biologically speaking.

SO an animals ecological niche, I think it means to be its profession, to what the animal does. Want examples go here.

A: FROM MENTEE KELLY B. IN PA

I think that it is an animal's natural habitat as it was meant to be before
humans started destroying them.
