Q: (Initially posted on 10/21/02) FROM JENNY N. IN AR
I want to become a Meteorologist. What science and math courses will I need
to take and are there any Colleges/Universities around Arkansas that offer
Meteorology as a major?

A: FROM MENTOR JOAN LUSK IN RI
The first site lists prominent places where meteorology is being done
- I'm not sure how far away from Arkansas you'd be willing to go.
The second site indicates that the University of Arkansas offers
meteorology.

At this site:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/meteorology/state-climatologists/
you'll find someone from each state who might be willing to talk
about where to get the right education for a career in meteorology
(climatology being the long-range point of view, meteorology more
short-term).
