Bonus question: Pick a company that sounds interesting to you and find out what the salary is of the most powerful woman at that company.

A: ALL of the FORTUNE.com most powerful women have some experience in science, engineering and technology. In a leadership position such as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or President, the leader must know some science, engineering, and technology. Even if that is not their expertise or their college major, they must know enough to hire quality staff in those areas.

Several respondents counted the number of companies that provide science, engineering, or technology services, but keep in mind ALL these companies utilize science, engineering and technology to make its own operations runs smoothly and efficiently.
