Q: (Initially posted on January 13, 2003) FROM MENTEE SHANNON S. IN CA
Hi, my question is where is a good site other than http://www.fastweb.com to find
scholarship and financial aid information?

Shannon, I couldn't tell you exactly where to look for scholarship and
financial aid info, its been a while since I have needed that kind of info.
But if you are looking online, use www.google.com to search for "financial
aid" or "college scholarship" and it should provide you with tons of
information. This is definitely my favorite search engine. If the info you
get is too general, add the name of your state into the search to narrow
down the search. Also, check out the web sites for any colleges you are
considering going to, they often have a Prospective Students section that
should be able to offer insight on any scholarship programs the school
offers. If you want help filling out financial aid forms, the government
site www.fafsa.ed.gov/ has everything you need to learn about applying for
financial aid. Good luck!

A really great website for financial aid information regarding grants
and loans is http://www.fafsa.org/

Some other websites I have used in the past are:
http://www.salliemae.com/
http://www.collegenet.com/about/index_html
http://www.college-scholarships.com/
http://www.fastweb.com/
