Q: (Initially posted on January 15, 2003) FROM MENTEE ALLISON R. IN KY
What college has the best Biotech program? How many years does it take to graduate with a bachelors degree in Biotech?

A: FROM MENTOR REGINA SIZEMORE IN KY
Allison:
I know that the College of Agriculture at the University of Kentucky has a
good program in Bio Tech. It should take four years with maybe taking some
courses in a summer to complete a biotech degree. Since you live in
Kentucky, this would be of an advantage to you -- instate tuition and closer
to home. Another school that has a good biotech program is Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY (www.rpi.edu). You might check out their
website for information. Biotechnology is a wide open career and I am sure
that many schools would have a established or newly formed curriculum in
this area.
