Q: (Initially posted on February 10, 2003) FROM MENTEE TINISHA R. IN NJ
I just wanted to know if there is anyone who can tell me more about the field of forensic chemistry.

A: FROM MENTEE SARAH IN VT
Forensic chemistry is analytical chemistry applied to crime scene analysis, this includes various types of chemical residue analysis. You will need, at a minimum, a Bachelors degree (or coursework equivalent) in a physical science such as chemistry, biology or physics. Coursework should be heavy on chemistry and should include microscopy and statistics. For more info: http://www.forensicdna.com/careers.htm
