Q: (Initially posted on February 21, 2003) FROM MENTEE IVY H. IN WA
I'm a junior and I'm currently looking into colleges and was wondering if I should go to a good school for architecture as an undergrad or if I should wait until I go for a graduate degree? What are some good architecture schools?

A: FROM MENTOR LELLIS VAN DEN EINDE IN CA
If you know you want to do architecture, I would start right away
from undergrad. The other option is that you can do a degree in Structural
Engineering and then go into architecture for graduate school. You will be
way ahead of the other graduate architecture students and have a better
background in the behavior of structures if you do this. Some good graduate
programs can be found at:

Actually, the USnews.com website ranks lots of schools for many different
fields of study so you might want to take a look there:

Also, please look at the response to from mentor CHARLENE CASSIDY IN SC to
the question posted by mentee francisca L. in CA on February 20, 2003
regarding a double major in Civil Engineering and Architecture.
