Q: (Initially posted on March 6, 2003) FROM MENTEE YUNJI K. IN IL
I am a student who went to a school that permitted students to skip Algebra
2/Trig for other classes such as Pre-Cal and AP Calc. I know it sounds late
but would there be a chance that I could find help in Algebra 2 when I get to
college?

A: FROM MENTOR DIANA DIONISIO IN CA
Many colleges have student services for help in academics. My school, for instance has walk in tutors for calc there are also people who take appointment. Generally, professors expect you to already know previous material, so they won't spend much time reviewing and the new material is covered fast enough as it is. It's good that you realized that you need help w/ algebra 2 now. Maybe you can get a tutor to help you get caught up or take a junior college course in the summer or something to help you.
