Q: (Initially posted on March 12, 2003) FROM MENTEE KARROT H. IN CA
I am thinking about pursuing in a job in
communications. Are there any ways I can integrate
my interest in science with that?

A: FROM MENTOR NANCY WHITE IN WA
There are lots of possibilities. Consider:

* science reporter
* science tech writer -- the person who translates technical scientific
writing into forms understandable for non-science audiences
* explore scientific fields that relate to communications - audiology,
neurobiology, electrical engineering, anthropology (I'm veering a bit here!)
* teach science (teaching is very much about communications)
