Q: (Initially posted on March 24, 2003) FROM MENTEE JANE K. IN CA
I was wondering, where are good websites that I can visit to find out more information on all the different fields of engineering?

A: FROM MENTOR JUDY MOORE IN NM
I think this is a great site to explore. If you go the "careers" button on
the left and follow it you can get lots of good info. There are also a
number of fun things at this site.

A: FROM MENTOR MOLLY WILLIAMS IN MI
For a good overview of engineering go to the the National Engineers
Week website, sponsored by the National Society of Professional
Engineers.
http://www.eweek.org/

Within their menu is a "discover engineering" option at
http://www.discoverengineering.org/eweek/index.html

There's a good overall description of engineering and links to the
subdisciplines.

Another good place is the Society of Women Engineers at
www.swe.org
They also have career information with links to other professional
societies supporting the individual engineering disciplines.
