Q: (Initially posted on March 15, 2003) FROM MENTEE DEIRDRE P. IN NY
Do you know of any summer jobs or volunteer programs in the Albany area that
are math and science related?

A: FROM MENTOR REGINA SIZEMORE IN KY
Deirdre:
As a high school teacher, I was able to work at Rensselaer last summer in a
biochemistry laboratory. My experience is that RPI is very open to offering
opportunities for students in the area. Let me suggest that you contact some
one in the chemistry department. I took a class under Dr. Jim Moore and he
is very open to helping out young people. Email and ask Dr. Moore about any
programs that RPI might have for high school students. His address is
moorej@rpi.edu

Good luck
Regina
