Q: (Initially posted on April 10, 2003) FROM MENTEE ROSANA O. IN PA & NJ
What do you do in the Science, Engineering, and Technology camps?

A: FROM MENTOR MARANDA MILLER IN NY
It all depends on the camp, when I attended summer camps we had academic and
social activities. The social activities included volleyball games, movie
nights, took field trips, etc. The academic activites included hearing
lectures, doing group projects, and learning more about a particular
subject.

A: FROM MODERATOR SARAH SHIRK IN IL
Our mentors have recommended several camps that cover science, engineering, and technology specialties. If you go to the camp web sites you can learn the program details. We have started a list at http://www.uic.edu/orgs/gem-set/camps.htm
Some of the camps are free and some offer scholarships, so don't let tuition be a barrier. We have camps listed from all over the U.S., including Pennsylvania where you live.

Let us know if you learn of any other camps that you think should be listed on the GEM-SET recommended camp web page.

THANKS!
