Dear Phung N. in WA, my best advice to you would be to talk
to your
school counselors. They should have most all course listings
required
in the medical field for colleges. While in high school I
would take as
many science classes that your school offers. I am sure you
have a
required science curriculum to follow in order to graduate
from high
school, but check into your choices for science electives.
Also, in
your area talk to people that work at a hospital, Doctors
office,
clinics etc. and ask them the pros and cons of their various
jobs.
You can also get on the internet and search for various medical
careers.
Sports Medicine is a great career to research if you are interested
in
sports and medicine. I hope this will help you some. Good
Luck!! :)

IN CA
A lot of people don't choose their specialty until they get
into medical school and actually get to work in the hospital
during their second or third year. To get into medical school
there are many required subjects and these subjects are usually
on medical school tests. In high school, try to get a lot
of experience and exposure to math, biology, chemistry, and
some physics. That's as much as you can do to prepare yourself
for taking bio, chem, organic chem, physics, calculus in college
to get into medical school and take the MCATS.
