Science, math and technology careers are a pathway to self-sufficiency
for female students. We encourage all high school female students
to attend the Women in Science and Technology Conference at
the Mammoth Site of Hot Springs, South Dakota. High school
girls will participate in hands-on career exploration activities
led by women in science and technology professions. Parents
and teachers are encouraged to attend. This is a one-day event
at the Mammoth Site, in conjunction with a week-long statewide
celebration of Women in Science and Technology. Three aditional
conferences will be held on different days of the week in
the eastern section of South Dakota; Pierre, Watertoen, and
Aberdeen.
I would like to solicite any ideas on additional funding
for speakers or speakers who have funding! Again, our audience
would be high school girls. We are looking to broaden their
views on the vast array of science and technology careers.
We are inviting women in science and technology fields to
share their experiences, work responsibilities, and any props/equipment
used in their work.
Thanks for your time!
