Q: (Initially posted March 1, 2004) FROM STUDENT
MEMBER JANIS L. IN IL
I am wondering if there are any good internships in the computer
engineering field in the Northwest Suburb area in Illinois for
high schoolers? Also, I would like to shadow someone in the
year of 2004-2005 for school as a computer engineer. I need
to write daily logs and at the end of the semester, I have to
write an essay of what I had learned. If anyone has good advice,
then it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Hi Janis-
We are still looking for a GEM-SET Mentor to help with your
internship and job shadow projects. We do not have very mentors
in Chicago's NorthWest Suburbs, but I will keep asking. I
am going to ask the Society of
Women Engineers if they have any members that might be
able to help you.
I will write back if we find a volunteer computer engineer.
