Good question! All areas of engineering will have a shortage
in 6 years.
Technology is exploding, the bulk of the engineers are retiring,
and there
are fewer students entering engineering schools now than before.
If you asked
me to pick one, I would choose electrical/computer or biomedical
engineering.
However, that is only one educated guess!
