Q: (Initially posted June 1, 2004) FROM STUDENT MEMBER ALEXIS K. IN VA
I liked nanotechnology so much that I decided to make it the subject of a
report I'm doing for school. I have done a lot of research (amazing what's
happening), but I REALLY need help with suggestions for nanotechnology
hands-on ideas for my report... I need a lot more ideas of products I can beg, buy, borrow or create models for this assignment. I welcome every idea!!!

A: FROM MENTOR WANDA RITCHIE IN MA
Alexis, you may want to check out a company called Aspen Aerogels, Inc.
(www.aerogel.com). The company uses nanotechnology to create nanoporous,
light weight materials in a variety of forms. Current applications are for
specialty insulation materials (off shore, underwater pipelines, various
military applications, specialty sports clothing, etc). The website
provides information on products and technologies used. Good Luck!
