Q: (Initially posted July 26, 2004) FROM STUDENT MEMBER CHAU L. IN TX
Hi, I want to major in Pharmacy, but am having trouble deciding on a university. Can you please tell me about the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston at Downtown? How can I tell which is the better program for me? [Also some high schools have credits for Pharmacy Tech programs. I do not know if my high school has this program. Has anyone gotten Pharmacy Tech credit before college? Is this a good idea to pursue?]Thank you very much for helping me out !!!

A: FROM MENTOR MAMIE MOY IN TX
The University of Houston at Downtown does not have a Pharmacy
program. The University of Houston Main Campus offers the following
programs - Pharm.D., Dual Degree: Pharm.D. and Ph.D.
as well as Graduatae and Post-Baccaulareate programs. For complete
information regarding pre-pharmacy course requirements and degree
requirements please go to http://www.uh.edu/pharmacy/.

Hope this helps.
