I am currently working as an intern at the EPA Great Lakes National
Program Office in Chicago, IL. As a member of the Quality Assurance
Team, I assist in reviewing QA plans for projects in the areas of
contaminated sediments, pollution prevention, and habitat. In this
role, I am involved with a broad array of environmental issues in
the
Great Lakes.
My background and research interests are in the conservation of
biodiversity (both freshwater and marine). I have a Master's degree
in
coastal management from Duke University's Nicholas School of the
Environment and Earth Sciences, where I studied policy options to
protect the keystone species role of the sea otter. I earned my
B.S. in
biological sciences from the University of Notre Dame, where I
participated in field research on zooplankton in shallow lakes.
