Carol Toman has worked at Lucent Technologies and its predecessor, AT&T, since she graduated from college in 1978. Carol has a BS from Northern Illinois University and an MS from Northwestern University, both in Computer Science. She really enjoys that her job entails the entire software development process, from requirements writing through unit test and debugging. Projects in her career have included enhancing an operating system, writing a debugger, writing and using database managers, and other "systems" work. Carol's other professional interest is in Quality, particularly software quality. She is a member of the ASQ and is a 4H leader.
