1. I graduated from University of Dallas in '95; graduated from
UT-Houston Medical School in '99; completed my Internal Medicine
Residency training at UT-Houston Internal Medicine Residency Program
in 2002. I am board certified in Internal Medicine.
2. After completing my Internal Medicine Residency, I joined the
faculty at MD Anderson Cancer Center. I have a joint appointment
in both the General Internal Medicine and Leukemia Depts at MDACC,
which has provided me a unique opportunity to participate in a myriad
of activities. Primarily, I attend on the Leukemia inpatient service,
taking care of patients who are in complete remission. Aside from
my general medicine clinic, I also see patients in the Suspicion
of Cancer Clinic, where patients, outside of MDACC- from all over
the world, are referred for evaluation and diagnosis of a suspected
malignancy. Some of my other duties include working in the Emergency
Center and working on clinical research projects relevant to the
care and management of Leukemia patients.
