Professional Background: Over the last twenty years I have
worked primarily in the Technology and Healthcare fields. I began
my professional career working in the Risk Management Department
of a Hospital in Kentucky following my graduation from the University
of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration.
While working full time at the hospital I returned to college to
complete a Masters in Business Administration. This allowed me to
migrate toward work in computer technology. I was fortunate to acquire
a job supporting hardware and software with Digital Equipment Corporation
in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During my seven years with Digital
I enhanced my technical and management skills. An opportunity presented
itself in Golden, Colorado that would allow me to combine my technical
knowledge with the understanding of Hospital operations. This was
something I longed to do, so I took a leap and began managing implementations
of software in Hospitals. It was a perfect fit. I have continued
to expand upon my skills and now manage a team of six professional
consultants who provide the day-to-day expertise required to bring
new technology to Healthcare entities in the western United States.
Personal Background: I was born and educated in Louisville Kentucky.
Being the second of six children I learned early the necessity of
working in teams. This has formed the foundation of both my professional
and personal life. I am married and currently live in Littleton
Colorado. I look forward to retiring at an early age so I can complete
my travels of all 50 states. Currently I have spent time in 30 of
the 50 states.
