Nha Thanh Le
ESL Volunteer Instructor
Social & Cultural Research and Development Institute
Houston, TX

My name is Nha Le. I was born on December 5, 1980. When I was ten, my family moved to the US, and I have been living here ever since. Currently I attend the University of Houston studying toward a bachelor degree in Biochemistry and Biology. After graduation this year, I will apply to a graduate program or a medical program to continue my education.

I have many hobbies such as reading, traveling, strolling in the park, going to the temple, and talking to people. I also like to study and learn new things from everyone I come into contact. And because I love science and research, most of my work experience had been in laboratories, one at Baylor College of Medicine- Department of Human Molecular Genetics and the other at University of Houston- Department of Biology and Biochemistry. In addition, I enjoy tutoring people and was a peer counselor for biology and genetics at the university. Now I'm happiest to volunteer to teach ESL to my people at the temple every Tuesday.

My personalities are such that I am funny, caring, and hardworking. I enjoy helping people, making them laugh, and talking to them. I care, respect, and appreciate everyone and look forward to an interactive mentoring experience in this GEM-SET III program.
