Hi, my name is Nancy Mokay. Currently I am working as a Business
Technology Instructor at the Oneonta Job Corps Academy in lovely
upstate New York. As an Instructor, I feel that I can make a positive
contribution to the students' education by establishing a creative
and stimulating classroom environment and a strong dedication to
the total development of the student and present a role model for
ethical and professional standards and craftsmanship.
I have had 15 years of supervising and working with multicultural
adolescents from diverse backgrounds which has given me the ability
to provide students with a clear understanding of the specific objective
towards which they are working and help to set realistic goals to
guide their progress in achieving interim and terminal objectives.
I have always had a fascination with Business Technology and the
desire to teach, thus majoring in Business Education at the State
University at Oneonta.
The most exciting part of my job is the ability to keep current
with the latest development in software and hardware. Then the ability
to teach my students the software and office skills they need to
gain employment and continue to be employed years from now with
great emphasis put on software integration and the ability to produce
outstanding PowerPoint presentations.
I have been fortunate and have not experienced any unethical or
discriminatory action in the workplace. I have worked at different
companies, some treat their employees better than others, and I
am grateful that I have been able to work with some nice people
over the years.
I believe that taking some risks and challenging myself allows for
great opportunities and rewards. It's amazing what you can really
do if you push yourself a little bit more each time.
