I am currently a student at Rutgers University in New Jersey. My major is biochemistry and I hope to go to law school when I graduate to study patent law related to the field of biochemistry. I love science and math, but I've never been the best at it and I have always had to work really hard to do well. I think I can offer a lot to young women in these fields, because I have encountered tons of obstacles in getting to college…. changing high schools and having to adjust to a different science curriculum, applying to college independently, financing college, picking a major (that eventually led me to career that is not directly within the field of science) and the daily feats of college life. I would love to help out girls who are in similar situations, because I know how daunting these common problems can be.
