Creative, Professional and Research Activties and/or Interest I am very interested in human services and related programs. My Masters thesis involved in-depth research concerning the civil rights of homeless families and individuals. Presently, I am completing my course requirements for a Ph.D. in Dispute Resolution. As part of my Ph.D. studies, I served as a trainer at a residential group-home (at-risk youth ages 14-21) for teachers and direct care staff members (September 2000-April 2001). I conducted training in the areas of anger management, violence prevention, peer mediation, adult facilitation and conflict resolution. I organized workshops and wrote training materials. I have managed many technical documentation projects and I have several years of technical writing experience, which includes grant and proposal writing. I have taught at the university as an adjunct professor in American Government and Public policy and at the junior college level as an instructor of human relations and economics. I am interested in a position as an instructor/administrator ; I am also qualified to teach conflict studies, political science, public policy, sociology, and social science research (qualitative and quantitative).
