2007 State of the Science in Aging with Developmental Disabilities:
Charting Lifespan Trajectories and Supportive Environments for
Healthy Community Living

This conference presents the current knowledge on the social, environmental and technological supports needed to promote the health and community participation of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout their lifetime. Key international researchers will present the latest research findings and their practical applications to set the agenda for future research in four thematic areas:
·          Neurodevelopmental conditions
·          Health promotion, health literacy, and health services
·          Family support and intergenerational caregiving
·          Environmental barriers and supports to community living

The deadline for receipt of abstracts proposals is April 7, 2007. Decision notices will be sent to submitters by April 15, 2007.

Abstracts should be submitted in an electronic format as a word document at Letter size with 1" (2.54cm) margins all around and Times New Roman the preferred font. It should contain the following information written in English and be submitted as a word file attachment by e-mail to hsieh@uic.edu

1. Title of Poster (no more than 70 characters, 14 font centered at top of page)
2. Name, Affiliation and e-mail Address of Principal Author (12 font centered under the title)
3. Name(s) and Affiliation(s) of Secondary Author(s) (12 font centered under principal author). Indicate the presenting author with (*)
4. Abstract (no more than 250 words in 12 font)

A book of abstracts will be presented with the program to all registrants at the conference and a pdf format of this will be placed on the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Aging with Developmental Disabilities Health's website www.rrtcadd.org.
