Goals:

• Provide a demographic analysis of the family household of adults with severe disabilities using the Census Long Form
• Explore the degree to which households are an alternative “system” of support
• Examine the relationship between age of families and the demands on the long-term care system
• Develop precise population estimates of the magnitude of support needs among aging families
