This is the first announcement of 6th conference in the series "Spectroscopies of Novel Superconductors", begun at Argonne in 1991, followed by meetings at Sendai (1992), Santa Fe (1993), Stanford (1995) and Cape Cod (1997).

THE MEETING WILL COVER TOPICS SUCH AS

Theoretical models/mechanisms
Optical, and Raman spectroscopies
Photoemission spectroscopy
Transport and thermodynamic properties
Tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy
Neutron and NMR spectroscopies
Microwave experiments
Positron, Muon and other spectroscopies

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

The program will begin the morning of May 13th and end the afternoon of May 17th.
Participants should plan to arrive by the evening of May 12th . The technical program
will consist of 30-minute invited talks. For a list of invited speakers, please see Program. Only one session will be held at a time.

Contributed papers can be presented at poster sessions, where adequate space and time will be reserved for discussion in a pleasant working environment.

CONFERENCE VENUE

The meeting will take place at the Palmer House Hilton hotel in downtown Chicago,
May 13th to the 17th 2001. The Palmer House is the oldest continuously operating
hotel in the continental US
