      Description of Duties

    • Judges will be required to rate the quality of each student's presentation in the following three categories: 1) abstract, 2) poster, and 3) 10 minute presentation plus 5 minute question-and-answer period
    • Each judge will be given a form, and asked to rate each presenter in each category on a scale from 0-50, 50 being the highest individual category score and 150 points as the highest overall score
    • Significant latitude will be offered on how to assign points in each category, although a suggested point breakdown will be given on the judging form
    • Please keep in mind that presentations ought to be judged mainly for quality, and not necessarily for novelty of research findings
Judging forms will be given on the conference day, during check-in, or just prior to the conference day if necessary
    • There is no set number of students to which the judge will be responsible, although we ask that each faculty member judge at least two presentations
    • Please indicate on the form those categories in which you would feel comfortable judging
