International Reading Association Convention to be held in Chicago!

The International Reading Association will hold its 51st annual convention right here in Chicago this year, from April 30 to May 4. The convention is a great professional development / networking opportunity.

All-day workshops on Sunday will cover such diverse topics as "Second Language Literacy and Learning: Putting Research Into Practice," "Text Leveling and Beginning and Struggling Readers" and "Addressing the Needs of Struggling Middle Level and High School Readers." Shorter sessions earlier in the week will also focus on a variety of topics related to literacy and instruction.
