Ordering Classroom Materials
One of the ways STEP=UP supports teacher candidates and new teachers is by helping them to outfit their first classroom. During their final semester at UIC, students on the STEP=UP 1 grant receive $200 to support them in purchasing classroom materials. These funds will automatically post to students' UIC accounts during the last semester of the program.
Recommended Vendors
It is up to STEP=UP 1 students to spend this allowance as they see fit. However, we do recommend the following three vendors to students who are planning to purchase classroom materials:
