Investigating entrepreneurial and opportunity seeking behavior among academic scientists.
Investigating patenting behavior by scientists.
ENVIRONMENT AND TRANSPORTATION
Researching the voluntary environmental behavior of public and private polluters.
Investigating the perceptual and environmental determinants of ridership behavior on public transit.
Examining the policy, managerial and technical complexities of converting gasoline dependent public fleets to alternative fuel vehicles.
Assessing the energy and carbon efficiency of electric power plants.
TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION
Researching new ways to use digital technology to improve civic engagement and collaborative policy making.
Investigating the individual and contextual factors that affect citizens’ decisions to adopt and use smart cards technologies and the downstream effect that adoption has on subsequent ridership.
Understanding and measuring the digital divide phenomenon, especially as it relates to the urban environment.
R&D EVALUATION
Evaluating the performance of National Science Foundation research centers, IGERT and EPSCoR programs including creating new approaches for measuring the impact of collaboration networks on performance.
Exploring the application of performance measurement for the management of R&D centers and programs.
