Legislative Contact Persons (LCPs) in Illinois

It is more important than ever that we develop close ties to our representatives in the State legislature. To develop such ties, SUAA would like to dentify responsible and qualified Legislative Contact Persons (LCPs) for each Senate and Representative district in Illinois. Ideally, we would like to identify at least 3 LCPs in each such district. The role of the LCPs will be to develop a relationship with their representatives, so that they can present the case for support of the SUAA position on issues as they arise.

If you are interested in becoming an LCP for your district, please contact Bill Troyer, Vice President and Legislative Director of UIC UNITED, at bandltroyer@gmail.com or Merrill Gassman, UIC UNITED President, at mgassman@uic.edu. Please include your legislative district and, if you know it, the name of your State Senator and Representative. If you already have a relationship with your rep, please let us know.
