ABOUT UNITY MONTH . . .

In support of Unity Month, a September celebration sponsored by the Human Relations Foundation of Chicago, UIC is conducting a month long series of events. We want to share the remarkable diversity of our campus with the diverse communities surrounding the university. The mix of people, cultures and beliefs that make up UIC is one of our major strengths. These activities can range from lectures or panel discussions to cultural or social events and entertainment.

The goal of Unity Month is to increase awareness and sensitivity surrounding issues of gender, ethnicity, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation and ability/disability.  Our theme for the month is "One Community, One Humanity."

We look forward to your participation in Unity Month. For more information, please contact the Office of Community Relations (312-413-3380).
