Dr. Beck was named a 2006 American Association for the Advancement of Science fellow, a prestigious honor bestowed upon scientists by their peers. His research seeks to develop new ways to target cancer cells for diagnosis and treatment by studying the genetic bases by which ovarian and breast cancers and leukemias resist the drugs designed to treat them.
