PMxx 385 SPECIAL TOPICS COURSES

PMxx 385 SPECIAL TOPICS COURSES

Policy and Procedure

1.         Special Topics (PMxx 385) elective courses are a one time offering of an experimental course or an offering of a course on a topic of selected interest.   The campus mandates that special topics courses be relevant to the expertise of the department that is teaching the course and should pertain to issues in pharmacy practice or the pharmaceutical sciences.

2.         PMxx 385 elective course outlines must be submitted to EPC for review and approval at least one month before the scheduled student registration time for the semester in which the course will be taught.

3.         After a PMxx 385 elective course has been approved by EPC, the Office of Academic Affairs will be notified and the course will be entered into the timetable.

4.         Approved PMxx 385 elective courses cannot be repeated.  Faculty are encouraged to consider submitting a new course form (ACORN), including a new course number and title, to EPC for approval if the course is successful.
