Mortar & Pestle Society Honored
On June 27, the college held its very first event to honor alumni and friends who are members of the Mortar & Pestle Society. The Mortar & Pestle Society is a group comprised of generous individuals who support the college with annual gifts of $1,000 or more, or have cumulatively given $10,000 or more. Attendees enjoyed a beautiful evening at the Chicago Illuminating Company and received a special thank you for their continued dedication to strengthening the legacy of the college. Currently just over 90 alumni and friends are members of this special society. To learn more about the Mortar & Pestle Society, contact Louis Wright in the Office of Advancement by phone at (312) 355-0833 or by e-mail at email@example.com.

Alumni who became Life Members prior to the change remain Life Members. Have You Accepted the Challenge?
Meet the Class of 2011. By the time they graduate, each
may owe more than $75,000 in student loans.
In August, alumni Joseph Green and John Kirklys, both PharmD '90, issued a challenge to all COP classes: Who can raise the most money for the Sesquicentennial Scholarship? The Sesquicentennial Scholarship will not only be the first-ever college scholarship to be established solely by alumni, but it also will be the first scholarship to cover the full tuition for its recipient. There is no better way to celebrate 150 years of pharmacy excellence than to support students, the future of the college and the profession. Classes are competing in the categories of largest dollars raised, largest individual gift and largest average individual gift.
