The committee interviews approximately 300 each year to find the very best to fill approximately 165 seats available for the incoming first year class. Many alumni have participated in the past have relayed their enjoyment in being a part of the process and are continually impressed by the quality of potential students they see. The college is honored to have alumni assist with such an important process as picking the future of the college.
The interviews follow a Behavior Based Interview (BBI) process. For those who wish to learn more about this type of interview, a training session has been set up for new faculty and to serve as a refresher for others, to which alumni are welcome to attend. Two sessions are available: Tuesday, January 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, February 21 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
For more information or to sign up, please contact Deb Agard in the Office of Student Affairs by phone at (312) 996-3397 or by email at email@example.com. Refreshments, lunch and parking will be provided for alumni during the interview week.
State of Illinois County Representation
In an attempt to promote pharmacy throughout the state of Illinois, Tom TenHoeve, associate dean, Office of Student Affairs, has created a map of the state with the number of alumni in each county that you can view here:
Ultimately, Dr. TenHoeve's goal is to have prospective students, current students or anyone else be able to click on any county and have a page open that lists the names and preferred contact information for any alumni living in that county who are will to serve as such contact persons. Our alumni are great advocates for the profession and for our program, and are a valuable resource. If you are willing to have your name and information listed as a contact person for your county, please complete the following online form:
