A Multi-Disciplinary Team Approach
The Center has adopted a multidisciplinary strategy to achieve its basic research and clinical research objectives. Participating
faculty – pharmacognosists and medicinal chemists – hail from the
University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, Department of Medicinal
Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, which includes faculty represented in the
Program for Collaborative Research in the Pharmaceutical Sciences
(PCRPS). The College of Medicine provides biostatistics expertise. Center
researchers also collaborate on clinical trials with physicians from
Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Additionally, the Center collaborates with the hops producer, Hopsteiner as well as other institutions of higher learning.
