The Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy has two graduate programs that offer studies leading to degrees at the PhD and Masters level:
Medicinal Chemistry is focused on the discovery and development of biologically active agents with potential therapeutic application. The Medicinal Chemistry program offers concentrations in analytical and chemical toxicology, biomedicinal chemistry, computational medicinal chemistry, structural biology and synthetic medicinal chemistry.
Pharmacognosy is the study of the chemistry, biochemistry, biology, taxonomy, and ethnobiology of natural products from plant, marine and other life origins.
