The UIC Pharmacogenomics Laboratory is a 1300 square foot facility located in the College of Pharmacy. The lab is equipped for all activities necessary for pharmacogenetic analyses; from DNA/RNA extraction to genotyping. This laboratory at UIC houses a Pyrosequencer 96HS DNA sequencer for high throughput and flexible genotyping analyses. The laboratory also houses three 2005 Eppendorf Mastercycler EP Gradient S thermocyclers, gel visualization equipment, vertical fume hood, water baths, heat blocks, shared autoclave, refrigerated centrifuges, -20 and -80 oC freezers, and all other necessary equipment for genotyping, DNA/RNA analyses, and biospecimen banking.
