Research Interests
Dr. Chan teaches and conducts research in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a clinical pharmacist in the Digestive Disease, Nutrition and Liver Clinic. She has a special interest in providing pharmaceutical care to patients with inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Her research efforts are devoted in the areas of viral hepatitis and drug induced liver diseases. She has also conducted studies focusing on outcomes research with proton pump inhibitor therapy.
