Pharmacy Practice Faculties named to ACCP Leadership Position
Exciting news came to the Department of Pharmacy Practice with the recent appointments of Daniel Touchette and Edith Nutescu to leadership positions within the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Daniel was named the director of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Practice-Based Research Network. The ACCP-PBRN is a network of clinical pharmacists and their practices working together to improve the health of their patients by addressing questions commonly encountered and translating research finding into practice. Edith was elected to a three year appointment as Regent to the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Board of Regents. Edith’s duties as Regent to the Board will begin at the 2011 Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The faculty members of the Department of Pharmacy Practice are greatly honored to have such strong representation of UIC and the College of Pharmacy at a national level.
