Hospital Pharmacy Services is the pharmacy service department of the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System and is a teaching & research unit of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy, that provides sophisticated clinical, distributive and technological services. The pharmacy staff work in cooperation with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to ensure the provision of rational drug therapy and provide direct patient care/education.

Ambulatory Care pharmacy provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care of the highest quality and ensure safe, rational, and cost-effective use of medications to achieve optimal outcomes. It provides services in a wide range of Medical Center departments which include cardiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology, geriatrics, infectious disease, internal medicine, nephrology, neurology, oncology, pediatrics, as well as clinics and services on antithrombosis, diabetes, medication assistance program, medication therapy management, pulmonary, smoking cessation, transplant and women's health.
