Dr. Gregory Thatcher, professor in Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, received new funding in the amount of $189,477 from the National Institutes of Health/National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine for the project titled “Botanicals for Treatment of Depression.”

Dr. Greg Thatcher, professor of medicinal chemistry and pharmacognosy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, was one of four scientists selected to receive the inaugural Novel Approaches to Drug Discovery for Alzheimer's disease award.
