PGY1 General Residency
Jan 4, 2011 - We are currently processing materials for at least 189 individual applicants for our 12 PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency positions. The processing has been prolonged by the cessation of mail delivery for 10 days due to the holidays. We are attempting to have everything through Thursday processed by Friday (deadline date) so that we can give you specific feedback about your status. Completed applicant packages are being reviewed and initial interview invitations will sent as early as Friday January 6th. We will begin interviews for the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice program on Friday January 13th, and will be interviewing on Mondays and Fridays through March 2nd (with the exception of Martin Luther King Holiday, Monday January 16th) The interview typically lasts approximately from 8:30-3:30 PM. We will provide a lunch during the day. We typically interview 4 candidates on any given day. The group (as a whole) meets me first, then hospital administration for 60 minutes, goes on a tour (with a current resident), next is 3 consecutive 1:1 30 minute interviews with faculty, and you finish the morning with a brief break. Then the group attends resident report and has lunch (with current residents), has a final 30 minute 1:1 interview of the day and finishes the day with me at a wrap-up session. I am also one of the interviews. There is no formal presentation required. Pharmacy Practice | ||||||
