Dr. Cannon is a four-time winner of the College's Preceptor of the Year Award and a two-time winner of its Golden Apple Award. He received the College's Teacher of the Year award and is a past recipient of the University of Illinois at Chicago Council for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Teaching Recognition Awards, one of the campus' highest recognition for faculty.
